My 1st Mother's Day

I find myself enjoying the simple things now that I am a mom.  Sleeping in an extra hour, eating something before noon, wearing clean clothes, or wearing my hair down because it was recently washed.  I may be exaggerating a bit but honestly some days it seems as though I get nothing done, I look like a mess, and my baby still hasn't had a nap and it's 4pm!  I try not to worry as much about the cleanliness of my home or myself and try and enjoy more time with my daughter because I know before I long I will be wishing for a dirty home instead of a teenage daughter that's never around!

Isla and I are so fortunate to have both grandmother's living in the same town as us and get in as many visits with them both as we can.  Russ' mom(grandmaman to Isla) and my mom(Nana to Isla) both spoil her with so much love and attention.  It was so pleasant to spent my first Mother's Day all together down at Port Augusta Park.  Amongst the daisies we all enjoyed a lovely picnic together and celebrated how amazing moms truly are! xo

It was Love at First Sight

Witnessing a family as kind and loving as Raylene's is so magical and a reason why I love taking photos.  Balancing a baby's needs and my love of photography isn't always the easiest but days like this one remind me why continuing my passion is so very worth it!  What a lovely Mother's Day gift to herself to let me capture her and her two little ones frolicking around Filberg Park!  Happy Mother's day to all you amazing moms out there and hope every day you are reminded by your family how much you are valued and loved! xo
