For those of you who sit at home on a Saturday night in the Comox Valley and say there is nothing to do or nowhere to go clearly you need to start paying attention to upcoming events put on by the YPCV(Young Professionals Comox Valley)! I was fortunate enough to be a part of such a beautiful and elegant evening and I will be checking out http://www.ypcomoxvalley.com/ every chance I get to see what is new and upcoming! No garden party is complete with, well, a garden of course! The grounds at the Old House made for a beautiful back drop and came complete with flowers blooming all around. Delicious appetizers and dinner were prepared by the talented chef and staff of Locals restaurant and no one left the party hungry! From live music, to bocce and badminton, Benino gelato stand, champagne fountain, beer on tap, silent auction, and gorgeous flowers and décor throughout; this party was beautifully orchestrated and not even the rain dampened our spirits! I had such a lovely time and want to thank Jasmen and her team for putting on such a wonderful night!

You see a Body but I see Art
If there is one thing I have in common with the average male, it is that we both appreciate the curves of a woman's body. He may appreciate it for other reasons but I appreciate it for its shape and silhouette. In its simplicity it creates, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful fine art photography. I feel privileged to be trusted enough by someone to capture such a personal part of themselves and to understand the vulnerability someone is going through; therefore, treat them and the experience delicately and respectively. This was by far one of my most memorable shoots for not only was this new to me and my client but it opened my eyes into a genre of photography that I love and cannot wait to do again!
All you need is LOVE
When my good friend Jess and I were debating on where to shoot her maternity session, we couldn't of thought of a more fitting location then Kin Beach. It brought us back to our days of high school and put a nostalgic feeling in the air. A place of good times spent with family and friends and it reminded myself on how long and far we've come as friends. Here stood in front of me someone I have known for over 10 years, who was married, and on the way her first child; such a beautiful site to see! Jess is any photographers dream but I must say I have never seen her as beautiful as she has been carrying a little one inside of her. Motherhood is the next chapter for her and I cannot wait to watch it play out. All my love to her and her husband Ben and may this be the start of yet another amazing adventure together xoxo
